The Texas delegations was given a speech in one of their breakfast meetings during the convention about the changing demographic in Texas and how the Democrats were really going to try and turn Texas Blue. So the RNC knows that Texas will be in play. Trump may win the national popular vote but he is dead in the water when it comes to the delegate count.

I looked at past TX votes awhile back and concluded there aren't enough Dems here for Hillary to win. Donald is trying to change that though.

You're right. Donald WANTS a war with Cruz (and even Kasich). It's all about splitting the Republican party asunder for the benefit of his pals. I'm going to be watching for rapprochement between Trump and the Clintons post-election.
