Mine is a factory setup, bought new 3 years ago, Toyota Venza. Of course, it has bluetooth, and USB. It might have the speaker connection, but since I've never used it, I don't remember. Not going down to look, either.

It wont affect me on two counts. I don't use headphones, or blasters, and I don't use a mobile phone anymore either. Still have the 4s, and an iPod touch to carry music and portable computing. I'll talk when I get home. As a retiree, I formed that habit long ago. 3 iPhones down, and I still haven't changed.

I'm out of the mobile phone monthly payments business.

How old is everyone else's setup?

My car is an '07. The reason I need to use the 3.5mm input is because Apple saw fit to switch to this newfangled lightning port so that the factory-installed Dock Connector hookup no longer worked.

2012 Mercedes would have to be sold to accommodate apple. Already bought a $500 upgrade cable (worth about $3) to use my IP6.

All the world built 3.5mm jacks for apple. Now apple is crapping on their heads.
