Lol. My college roommate, who is still a very dear friend today, continues to tell me not to ask so many questions. Questions beget Questions, Truth begets truths, Love begets love. Friendship begets friendships. It is all so contagious and addicting. And there is no cure except to continue upward and onward.
I can remember after my Bar Mitzvah I spoke to this very philosophical Rabbi and told him I didn't believe in G-d. He said why not, didn't G-d give you life? I responded by saying that G-d never asked me for my consent to be born? The Rabbi then said, why would G-d need to ask for your consent? And if he did ask you, would you have said no, I don't want to be born. It took me many many years to understand the implications of that, but I think I finally got it. Life is the most meaningful event in the world so why would anyone say no to it? So, that's where the first meaning of the meaning of meaning comes from? The second meaning comes from how we live our lives, or subscribe meaning to meaning. In what sense is it all arbitrary or relative? Does Life command us to act one way rather than another way at all times?
