Why did the supposed greatest deal maker in the world not seek a deal with Cruz? Because the one true thing he's said this campaign is he doesn't want all of the GOP. Particularly he doesn't want the conservative wing. Cause he intends to rule as a liberal. Melania admires Michelle Obama. Ivanka, good friend of Chelsea Clinton, has her Daddy's ear and endorsed Hillary's policy on women's issues at the Republican convention and got the Republicans to cheer them. All Trump's friends and the Trump family's friends are liberal Democrats. There's not a chance in hell Donald Trump would actually nominate a justice that might endanger Roe v Wade or any other liberal policy. Ivanka and Melania wouldn't let him. Why has Donald said he doesn't care if the GOP loses the Senate?
