He has but now he can demand his own island rather that just a condo on the beach.
He could, but I don't think he wants to. He and his wife makes a fraction of what my wife and I make per year.

I think his ultimate goal is to leave a legacy. Specifically, he wants to be credited with moving the Democratic party platform to the left.

But he also doesn't want to go down in history as the man who helped Donald Trump get into office.

Hence the dilemma, and I'm not surprised that he has chosen to rejoin the "establishment." After all, after spending 34 years as an integral part of it, the very premise that he was "anti-establishment" was dubious to begin with.
