The soviets (and the Chinese) tried a subtractive strategy to control speech - only official sources get to have a voice. Didn't work so well.

The statists in the US use an additive speech control strategy - drown the truth in noise. Working great so far.

>>We are beyond Pravda. I don't even know what territory we are in now. Hyper-Pravda zone?

I have been watching the broadcasts of the conventions on public TV. (I only get 3 stations, 2 are public propaganda TV.) Their panel of, I'm not sure what to call them, hosts? pundits? vestal virgins? - David Brooks, Mark Shields, women of color and not color - and I can tell you, now that they are at the Democrat convention, they are in the love you long time, orgasmic zone.
