Fuchi makes a good point in the previous post. This is also true for the ps2 connectors (i.e. different motherboards have different pin schemes on the motherboard end of the connector.)

Fuchi, as I mentioned before I performed my tests using the same memory, video and hard drive. For live use, I bought an IBM Ultra DMA HD because wide SCSI HDs are still pricey. The SCSI connector is for backing up, scanning, etc.

And thanks for the hint on the COM port cables!
