It is astonishing. They appear to have no or only distorted memories of their past predictions that proved to be ridiculous. They continue to march on claiming to be high information, high IQ patriots.

One of the problems the Republicans have is that their Grand Coalition of the Very Rich, the Ignorant, and the Stupid has been torn apart. Many of the very rich will support the Democrats in this election because Trump is just too random for them. They have done well under Obama and see no reason to support Trump. They have also lost some people with actual integrity as well as the few actual intellectuals that they have. Consequently, they are left with just the ignorant and the stupid. That will not be a winning coalition in a general election.
