Sourcing energy from coal results in nearly four times the number of pollution deaths than gas due to the soot and smog involved in burning coal.

Good to see someone on the right recognizing the environmental damage caused by coal.

Meanwhile, electric cars have proven to be a greater source of pollution than traditional vehicles.

Nope

My neighbor like a number of other friends who have a pure electric car charges it from his PV array.

No more needing to stop at gas stations!

Sourcing energy from coal results in nearly four times the number of pollution deaths than gas due to the soot and smog involved in burning coal. While it’s nice that liberals can separate themselves from this source of pollution, since they don’t see it firsthand when driving electric vehicles, its naïve and hypocritical to proclaim they’re taking care of the environment with these cars.

Well, coal fired generation is going the way of the dodo bird so that won't be a long term problem as the cars become recharged from clean, renewable sources just as here in the Seattle area.

Brakes wearing out? This author doesn't seem to know anything about electric cars with regenerative braking. The brake pads hardly get used at all!

In fact, they should last the life of the car as with my own experience.

Funny to see all of the ignorance in this story.

Clearly written by someone who has never owned one.
