Yes, you make a very good and valid point, I'm actually somewhat familiar with the big data technology, and much of this kind of data gathering and analysis never existed just a few short years ago... the speed of these advances are mind boggling... of course, my mind has been boggled for many years already...<g> GZ

You make an excellent point about how learning algorithms are helping profitability thru the trolling of big data. The Master Algorithm by Pedro Domingos describes how computers learn. Another aspect of that same trend is the fact that AI/technology is spawning disruptive and transformative breakthroughs in medicine, human genome sequencing, communications, transportation, energy, robotics, and materials science. The impact on our lives in the next decade may make the comparison with the 1980s-90s bull run more than just idle speculation. I think it's a wonderful time to invest in technology.
