JM,

I'm willing to stipulate that some short sellers knowingly made fraudulent statements. I have no problem with action being brought against those who acted illegally.

What is less clear is how that could benefit PRST, especially when the SEC documents make such a strong case against the company and its officers. Can you enlighten me?

Larry

Dear JM,

I'm sorry that your misinterpretation of my post caused you to lose respect for me. I still respect you.

I was ROFLH at MY insertion of LONG for SHORT and ... oh, well. In fact, I even started my post with "I know this is serious stuff."

Kinda makes me smile at the phrase that keep going through my mind when I read all of your defenses :
"There are none so blind as those who will not see."

As intelligent as you are, you misread my post because you ASSUMED nastiness in my words.
It is also amusing that you continue to respect the leaders of this company after what they did here and the "old news" regarding their past associations of which you are aware.

Incidentally, I covered late this afternoon. I don't want to fight the possibility that this stock will magically levitate up to the day of the announcement of the 4Q earnings.

Dear Nanny,
Thanks for your thoughts. I haven't "worked" since 1972! I am still not looking for "work!" (I am now having FUN!)

Dear Count,
You don't hurt my feelings by calling me "boy" or "silly." I rather enjoy it, though, when I touch a nerve to get someone worked up enough to call me names, however!

The scores are in:
In spite of all the eeeeehhhaaaws, high fives, Lutts and Howard defenses, and short bashing which you bulls have shared on this board over the last two years, look at the record.

1996 Dow up 26%
PRST down 25%

1997 Dow up 23%
PRST down 28%

Reminds me of horses who will run back in to a burning barn because that's where they remember being safe and happy. I guess you longs still ignore the flames and long for the "good times" of 1995/1996 when the SEC- discredited reports were being used to propel this stock to stratospheric levels.

Happy New Year, Sincerely!
