The $699 Presario 4212ES (with PMMX-166) and the pre-pricecut on PII 233 are just two examples that Intel has lost their powerful controls on the distribution and pricing on their own processors.

These controls are the main factors enable Intel to maintain their profit margin. The eager pre-pricecut on PII simply indicated that PII are not moving out as planned. If INTC could not hold 70 today, reap it with puts!

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!

<Your name goes great with what you are trying to do. Create FUD. >

It's always nice to see people resort to insults, it's clear indication they have no logical argument.

<These are all bogus and erroneous statements you are making.>

It's apparent you have no knowledge of the industry, so I'll try and fill you in. Telling a customer you are delaying delivery by 2 months is equivilant to saying "the checks in the mail". If, and I stress "if", AMD has in fact told this to their customers, then they have real problems. It means they are waiting (and hoping) that the next stepping will finally work, otherwise they wouldn't be 2 months away from delivery.

On another note, I don't remember seeing you complain when AMD employes and zelots post outrageous claims with no proof whatsoever. You have seen expert analysis presented here by several people with excellent credentials. These predictions have come to pass. Instead you have chosen to believe hype from a source (AMD) that has proven time and again to misrepresent the facts. Still you believe AMD and disregard the same sources that have been correct time and time again. This is not sound judgement.

Feel free to attack my name, or call me a liar as some do. Based on the judgement you and your other AMD zelots display, I consider it a compliment.
