I agree, basically...Joe.

there's good cause for AMAT to be a core holding in the tech portion of a portfolio, just like CSCO, MSFT and INTC.

However, if a significant drawndown can be avoided by cutting losses or waiting for a better price to buy at, then by all means!

Let me say this... I can't argue against the fundamental case for AMAT at all. They are rock solid and don't deserve the pounding their getting from the street. That is why I'm focusing my attention on AMAT foremost during this correction/bear market/whatever. AMAT should be the FIRST to turn upward once sentiment changes on the street. Untill then, the stock is going to get socked every time the Korean flu goes around.
