thread "TOP 10 1998 Stock Picks" to share your hot stocks for 1998 and to hear what others are thinking. Tech wise, I'm strong on TAN, PRD,
IBM, and AOL. Good Luck to all in 1998

Thank you, David. I only do real trading. Most of what I write is experience; if you care to read from the beginning of my posts. Trending is the most important and repeatable T/A. T/A was invented by charting the trend. Then people discovered various special conditions that their indicators fit in. But that is another story.

Trends work when you are on the side line. If you do real trading, you find that the trend deviated some what by the amount you traded. If you invested in Apple before the prince invested; You probably did well. Now the buy back of Apple borrowed stock by the markert maker; keep the Apple way below its normal trading range. If you invest now, probably will take another couple of years before it will go back to normal. What happens to a good fundamental turn around? It may happen but the low stock prices hurt financial planning at Apple, and Apple emplyees lack the stock option incentives to drive their ambitions. So, you are right about more to the trend in T/A. On the other hand the other indicators are not applicable in the case of Apple. So, with Apple, no fundamentals coming, the T/A is only trending and wait for breakout and breakdown. Try all the other indicators and see what T/A you can get?
