We have a vetting process that takes anywhere from 18 months to more than 2 years Legal immigration to the US is well under control and as you describe it above. I know, because I went the long way through the whole system and spent like 15k$ on help during the process. Now, the smart guys, bad or good, just jump on the illegal path, right over the border, and you are in like Flynn. That's what the millions of illegals have done and are doing right now.
