Now, let me see, we have had a ton of upgrades in the very recent past (I guess all those investment analysts want AOL to remember them when the increased need for investment in networking infrastructure reaches critical proportions, remember by that time they will have 12m subscribers), forget that their service is terrible and that their existence as a viable business concern depends on them mailing you and every Tom, Dick and Harry a copy of their proprietary disk, forget that competition in this area is intense and that their purchase of Compuserve will be a drain on earnings as CPSV has never made any money and the synergies between the two companies is hardly what I would call compatible. But lo and behold we have had every tech analyst comment on how great this company is (I guess they never read December's issue of PC World) and earnings will be propelled by increase ad revenue (the only problem is finding a spot on their cluttered pages, but you should do what Tel-Save did and fork out 66m. for a guest spot on AOL). When all is said and done, Aol will keep going up in January 98 as it is very probable that they will beat their numbers and the possibility of a split becomes very real (stock talks). For the 98 fiscal year and at present share price they are trading at 104 times forward earnings and 48 times for the 99 fiscal year. After earnings watch out below, the bubble will burst.

It is truly amusing to read the posts on this board. What a bunch of angry AOL-haters you are. Could it be that losing money by shorting the stock, buying puts, and/or selling calls has clouded your collective judgment? I subscribe to the service, own the stock, and like the company.. I have not read one well-reasoned, fair, and intelligent post here to change my mind. Could someone explain to again why the analysts are wrong, the market is crazy, and all of you anti-AOL'ers are right?
