No question her hatred of socialism, her flight to America, her toiling in the fields of capitalist boosterism, were all fueled by her family's losses during the revolution. Dr. Zhivago-like revisionism aside. Of course I'm not saying the Bolshies weren't nasty enough. They were the bad guys even to all the other socialists, and they stole what could have been a democratic revolution modeled on the American revolution (and if we hadn't sent in troops to support the Czar, but that's another story...).
