<< POCI is well ahead of itself at these levels, but that, for me, is not a reason to sell. I'm in for the very long run. Good thing the reaction today is not ahead of itself. >>

I don't think POCI is any further ahead of itself than ANCR is. Both are trading on "notions" for the moment, not current fundamentals.

I will admit that YHOO and all it's brethren deserve to trade on some notions since they will be successful businesses, but the notions are just a tad out of whack.

Just a tad, mind you.

Lancelot,

<<I am impressed with your work and dilligence. This, along with seeking/excersising some degree of concern/control over the board and the top management is what a shareholder needs to do during this times, not just cry foul. I've been trying to help out too but I am not even close to your number of leads. Still, there are big companies out there well aware of Ancor in particular and FC in general. It's taking longer than expected, though, for anything to materialize - I have settled and I am comfortable with that thought.>>

Thanks. It took a while, but I have adopted a philosophy that as a shareholder, I need to do more than just gripe and complain. I need to do what I can to see that this company succeeds. If that means handing over my leads directly to Ancor, instead of posting things here, then that's what I'm going to do. I'm still more than willing to discuss the overall Fibre Channel market, because that can give everyone an idea where Ancor (and other FC companies) are headed. I also enjoy the technical discussions, but I'm going to be a little more careful about what information I divulge that could help the competition.

Part of the problem in the past was mine. I simply could not believe that posting something on SI that was found on the web could possibly hurt Ancor. In that assumption, I was completely wrong. Just because I can find it doesn't necessarily mean that the competition (or Ancor) can. In fact, I think it is safe to say that we have fed the competition to a certain degree because of our extensive research.

Well, 1997 is history, and turned out to be a scorcher in the worst sense. I honestly believe that 1998 will be a totally different story. (Take that with a grain of salt. I said the same thing about 1997. <g>)

Happy New Year to all long-suffering ANCR investors. There are better times ahead!

Craig
