Right, Wade, this is why the current situation is such an anomaly. There were a few times in the past when POG exceeded that of POP, but this period has exceeded all others, I think, by a factor of three compared to the next longest one. It is also the most extreme divergence in the ratio ever recorded.

This tells me that something very fundamental has changed in the precious metals markets, though it is not as yet being recognized and understood. My thinking tells me it is the monetary factor, Platinum being much less a monetary metal than are gold and silver.

I don't see this changing until stability returns to the currencies markets, and that is not likely to happen anytime soon.

The recent (2016) double bottom of this Pt/Au ratio probably signaling us that either the fundamental or the perception, or both, has changed. Slowly building my positions. One small step at a time.
