Haven't the Global Alarmists heard of Popper and falsifiability of theories? <Saturday was a quiet day across the Gulf of Mexico, but not one without note, because a strange record was set: It has been 1,048 days since a hurricane developed in or entered the Gulf. That is the longest streak in the past 130 years, since formal record-keeping began in 1886. >

The Global Alarmists predicted hurricanes galore, of intensified power, as a result of Global Warming. Their theory was bung because what they predicted would happen did not. Therefore their theory is bung. But since they aren't actual scientists and are more like numismatists, philatelists or lepidoptera collectors, they don't understand the implication for their theory.

They probably have no idea who Popper, Feynman and Einstein were and certainly don't know what they said about scientific principles such as falsifiability, not omitting any data and it taking only one person to show them to be wrong even if 99% of scientists say they are right.

Global Alarmists have shape shifting "scientific" theories, they ignore inconvenient data and say that because 97% of some group say something, therefore it's right = call to authority proof of something. Which is no proof at all and is more akin to accusations of heresy and apostasy.
