I did not say that. What I said was that the velocity of money, the speed at which it circulates, is slowing, even as prices of some things may be rising.

Note that the cost of energy is falling, and very likely will to continue to do so. Look too at the the latest stats showing the economy in the last quarter only expanded by ONE percent annualized. Low growth means more people with less money to spend.

We can have "stagflation" in this environment, but not inflation, which sweep the prices of everything higher.
