Not at all. I picked 3 time intervals - the entire chart, the last 100 years, and the last 40 years (which is about as long as I can remember). I grant you that if one was to cherry pick from the abnormal peak in the middle to the trough some 20 years later, one can come to a different conclusion. But that would mean ignoring the past 40 years and ignoring the chart as a whole. I never thought the debate was about extreme weather.
