Would that be before or after they adjust the actual temperatures for factors they think require adjustments and before or after they leave out data that they dislike? <NOAA publishes their whole series. It's basically the average of sensors they have floating in water. You can google it and get the numbers for any year.>

Meanwhile, in the real world: nzherald.co.nz Record low temperatures and it's not even 2018 or 2020.

If you're going to bet with someone, you need to specify what the base number(s) are that you want to bet on. Nail down the bet now with a number that no one can change later. Looks like you can't even specify what you want to bet against.
