Uh, not making as much money as you might have otherwise is not the same thing as losing money, you know...

I know, I know, definitions can be hard.

I have a position that's half longterm and the rest short term.

I was thinking of selling the current longterm shares and holding the rest until they were longterm but I may sell all of it if Clinton gets in and looks like she's going to seriously raise the rates on longterm sales. It would depend how Congress comes out of the election too.

I could put a bit more into an IRA this year and my wife too.

It also depends on the whether we'll see tax rates rise overall. I always do my own taxes and this year I think I might actually make some money so I'll have to work through it.

I don't know what Clinton would do and I really don't know what Trump would do either.

I do know that Clinton has moved to the left so much that she may be going to redistribute wealth to some degree and I'd prefer to hang on to as much of my meager wealth as possible
