Went to Circuit City today. All four SONYs had ZIPs built in -- none of the other makes, IBM, Compaq, Packard Bell, did. So at least the SONY computer marketing people know which way the wind blows.

John: But will it still love Rambus if the Synclink consortium makes headway or INTC decides to go another way?

I wish IOM had leaps too, but it won't happen if they keep splitting the stock at low prices like this.

BTW, I would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone here a very safe New Year's Eve and prosperous and happy 1998. I first starting reading this board around this time last year and the breadth of knowledge I have gained from it has more than compensated for the occasional heartburn engendered by the bears and know-nothings who occasionally appear to sting us. I appreciate very much all the thoughts and efforts which are shared by this group. It has helped me immensely in my own thought processes and I only hope that I have been able to contribute at least a little to the common body of knowledge.

Happy New Year! See ya'll in 1998.
