Crude oil: OPEC scrambles meeting After witnessing crude dive into a bear market, the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries will meet next month to discuss a response to the downturn. OPEC “is in constant deliberations with all member states on ways and means to help restore stability and order to the oil market,” the group’s president said today. In the same breath, Mohammed Al Sada said analysts believe “the current bear market is only temporary,” which would seem to indicate he sees no need to tighten production.
