Re IEHC - while I don't think that industrials like IEHC should be purchased base on book value, I do note that IEHC trades below book, has no intangibles, net cash and assets are deeply written down, with midst assets being current assets (inventory). Inventory turns slowly (<3x/year), probably the nature do the business, but could also indicate that it is skew what overvalued, since some items could be obsolete. I think IEHC trades below liquidation value, which provides a secondary valuation floor.
