You and I aren't the ones to make that call. If you looked at Facebook or Google in their infancy you could have said the same thing. Zuckerburg called Twitter a "gold mine" and tried to buy it twice, which indicates to me there is value. One reason they are not doing well is Google and Facebook are using every arrow in their anticompetitive arsenal to destroy them while they refused to get bought out, including building on related offerings. Like YouTube, I can see a lot of value if Twitter got bought and plugged into one of these services. Sans that, it is true that they would most likely die out sooner or later.
