He gave great speeches. He ran successful campaigns We wanted to believe in hope and change, n one America and in getting out of the financial mess caused by his predecessors. Now we have far greater problems than housing bubbles, out of control government spending and continued overseas interventions that solve little and make things much worse longer term.. Seems like the soul of our country is gone, as are the animal spirits. Hope is lost for many in a new generation chronically out of the labor force. Rising 401k's and housing prices to 'save' the day just feel different this time..
