I think you made a good move. I just couldn't do it because I did not want anymore profit in 1997. I sold everything I was carrying as losses (except DRMD) Last Friday to ofset as much gain as i could but I still have a very large tax bill coming. Two of the companies that I held stock in got bought out in 1997 and they were cash tenders so i had to sell. Yeah, i know, i made the money so i shouldn't complain.
My problem is i always leave the whole gain right backin the market to try to make more . Then at tax time i moan and groan a lot.
It will be interesting Friday.
