For the same reasons that Trump shouldn't debate Hillary. Whether you like her or not, she is informed with a huge amount of information at her finger tips. And she doesn't get flustered. Unlike her opposition. They did have their talking points, but didn't have much in the way of actual information and they assumed Hillary would be similar. When she showed she clearly wasn't, they got flustered and petulant. Trump brings all of the preparedness and cluefullness of the Benghazi panel and brings in a tendency to just make shit up on the fly. Add a dash of a need to dominate others, and it isn't a great recipe for success in a debate. Now it probably will be entertaining, though. The potential for a meltdown and/or him just abruptly leaving is pretty high.
