You are making reference to Steven Saville? I can't think of a person who has been more wrong in terms of their gold forecast for the past 4 years than Steven Saville. Firstly, he is a horrendous gold market timer. He has been buying gold mining stocks since 2012 in his personal account, thinking that the bull market was making a come back. He was only 4 years late. And then he says this year that HUI 221 would be the peak of this years Gold Mining market.

Granted, Saville is quite eloquent and if one has ears for this, most ravishing and delightful expression. There also exists a peculiar gold bug prejudice and affection in favor of bear markets; one should not overlook that. If a gold bug is lacking in bearishness, then he is not a genuine gold bug. What does that mean? Don't ask me. For this fact has to be interpreted in itself just as it stands there, stupid to all eternity, like every thing in itself.

You are a million times wiser than Steven Saville so don't denigrate yourself by making reference to him. And don't let his spell influence you.

Thanks Claude,

I have made my own index for PMs - it is showing a clear break to the downside today. None of us can predict the future but I will stay out until I see confirmation of an uptrend.

I don't hold a core position because it is too easy to buy 100,000 shares of any stock - OSK.to etc. It is the selling that is always a problem when the trend changes - sometimes the price becomes soft so quickly that it is possible to lose money.

Your posts are always enjoyable to read - I have learnt a great deal from you. Good trading.
