*GOOD NEWS*** Barrick acquires 2,200,000 shares of Java Java Gold Corp JVAG Shares issued 24,540,911 Jan 6 close $0.46 Wed 7 Jan 98 News Release Also Barrick Gold Corp (ABX) Mr Armand Beaudoin of Java Gold reports Barrick Gold Corp has acquired 2,200,000 common shares of Java Gold for a total purchase price of C$1,100,000 or $0.50 per share by private placement. Java Gold and Barrick have agreed that 80% of the placement of $1,100,000 will be used by Java Gold for exploration of properties in Mongolia.
