BOB I NEED TO clear up a matter concerning a recent post of mine; I have been getting info about shva thru a source WHO speaks to Karen W at investor relations. My source and Karen W are both correct when they point out to me that it WAS NOT me who spoke to Karen at Shiva but rather my source who is a financial money manager who has been intrigued by shva's valuation. THE POINT is that I should not have posted on this thread that I actually spoke to KAREN because I didn't actually speak to her. [ I do have a longwinded style sorry Bob] According to my SOURCE a preannouncement of earnings is never tipped off by her either way because of obvious legal concerns. He merely SENSED comfort with her. She did point out to him that a retroactive NT deal was a desire but Not A certainty. IN fact NT and SHVA may have no conclusion or final blueprints to a deal until March regardless of whether it will be retroactive or not. I apoligize to my source and Karen W for leaping ahead with his information. IN the final analysis all parties agree that we don't want to see a REPEAT of MARCH 30th ----PREANNOUNCEMENTS SUCK ---- Shiva is careful now to remind shareholders that their QTR'S are BACKENDED therfore they cant or wont give a change in guidance until it is too late. It is a convenient but MOST LIKELY innocent posture by the company. WHAT LOOKS BAD is that THE STOCK MYSTERIOUSLY has a way of "DISCOUNTED" what it SHOULDN"T KNOW. MY source has a great deal of respect for Karen in I.R. I am looking for progress to return once again to the great pioneers of netgear. If i get a bit fiesty maybe its because I am jealous of all the short- sellers who benefitted from SHVA's "channel problems" and of course Frank I had to be QUOTED in VAR reseller Q2 " were still winniing some big contracts" START WINNING SOME BLACK INK SIR..... HEy 98 is almost here and I am sure MR INGRARI deserves credit for getting the stock up to a rare level like in the last even numbered year--he has passed the torch so we cant scapegoat him anymore. Better days await us.
