You do realize that if you give people more mone so they can buy cars, you will ALWAYS spend more on additional labor costs than you could make on the additional cars, right?

LOL. It does, at least, explain why you guys are so out of touch with basic economic concepts.

I don't know what he meant. But I do know the reality. The reality was that paying more to get your employee's to buy more of your product is a net loser. It was for Ford, it is for anyone else.

Whether or not Ford recognized it (he probably did), the benefit for the higher wages was that Ford could get better workers, and retain the workers rather then churning them.
