Agree. The public would have no idea what his tax returns mean. No point at all. And if he is in fact undergoing an examination no one in his right mind would publicly release tax returns. It is a stupid thing altogether, though, because we know the outcome before the act. Liberal tax returns are not questioned (see Clintons). And Republican tax returns are raked over the coals (Romney).
