Anyone notice the divergence in Intel stock with that of NSM and AMD today? This decoupling should expand in '98 as NSM and AMD find their niche markets and Intel's margins get squeezed. I still think that Intel has a lot going for it in the first half, but K6 3D and MXi should change things in 2H.

Pravin,

I am very impressed by Nokia monitors. Check out this place for good prices on monitors:

I believe Viewsonic PT813 is a Trinitron monitor. I have 2 21 inch monitors at home: older Sony Trinitron (which is actually called 20") and Nokia 445X (slightly older than the 2 NECX is listing) It is stunning. A lot better than Sony Trinitron.

If I get another one to replace the Sony, right now my first choice would be Nokia 445X Pro

Joe

PS: These people also have good prices on monitors, but they are a pain in the a$$ to deal with:

Pravin,

I have had very good luck with the ViewSonic line. I am sure that the PT813 will be an excellent monitor. I am less enthusiastic about the aperture grill technology, but we have some of the GT810 20" inch monitors at work and they are quite sharp. Personally, I go for the smallest absolute dot size, as it should be the sharpest. Ultimately, the sharpness of the image will dictate how much can fit on a screen.

I eventually will get a PT810 Monitor, which has a 76Hz refresh rate, and the smaller dot size. It also can be purchased for around $1200 dollars. You should remember that few cards today can drive a 1600x1200 Monitor at much above 75Hz anyway.
