Yeah, I'm pretty sure when I was in public school no one ever called me a "scholar." In the 9th grade some of us didn't know how to act in Study Hall. The teacher was told, "If they give you trouble make them stand in the hall." He'd walk around with a tennis shoe sole every period and whip your butt if you were in the hall. He told me one day, "Boy, before this semester's over I'm going to wear my tennis shoe out on your butt." He did. Nobody was telling him not to call me "boy."
