Buddha is too calm. Swearing just makes him smile. I don't go for wishy washy deities. You can insult Buddha and he will not put a contract out on you. This makes it tough to start a nuclear war with such people and probably explains why Buddhist countries do not get oil contracts like Iraq or much foreign aid. They do not contribute to American military build-up and thus do not qualify for largesse.

Personally I worship Frodo, the high tech god. He is responsible for making sure that no matter where you put the darkness setting of the toaster in a four slice machine one slice always gets burnt and one slice is always underdone. He is wise and benevolent. His latest is computer viruses. Understanding deities is the hard part. Praying is easy:

Did you know the Hindu only worship one god? He just has many different manifestations. One is Rajah Wunpennee, whose form is a street vendor of breakable trinkets. His followers are everywhere.
