Rival data formats vie for digital-camera
future

TOKYO-- Setting the stage for a major battle over digital-still-camera data
formats, 20 manufacturers--led by Canon--have proposed a new way to
store and manage digital images inside a camera. Their proposal is
incompatible with the format used by giants Fuji Film and Eastman Kodak.

-Earnings Estimates-

They have been changed in the last days of December. The charts (Nelson and IBES) show that

Q4 has been revised upwards to 27c instead of 26c (at least that's what IBES shows)

'98 has been revised downwards to 0.93c from $1.00.

The "Asia effect" or the "increased competition effect" or both?

I'd plead for increased competition.
