TD, I suspect that the reporter involve a little "poetic license" on the shot of the Ligand vial. Ligand has in-licensed Aldesleukin from CHIR and PHOTOFRIN from QLTIF and both are sold in Canada. Aldesleukin (IL-2) I would think is a liquid and I think that Photofrin is also. Thus, such a vial with a Ligand label might have been used to show who made the retinoid. All 3 of LGND's retinoids are in clinical trials but not being sold (so I'm not sure how fancy the label is). None of the retinoids are liquids, they are capsules (which are appropriate for head & neck tumors) or gels (for topical treatment of KS by Panretin or CTCL by Targretin).
