I somewhat agree w/ that, but only for those companies that have accumulated Goodwill factored into their BV amounts. That would be more of the case for companies that made mergers, acquisitions and or cash buyouts.

What I found interesting is how the buybacks may have skewed the price/book figures when compared to the historical levels.

Of course the other interesting tid-bit was the historical measure of Earnings Yield. You can really see how the Fed's QE and low interest rate policy has made this number almost 100% lower than the historical mean.

If/when those rates normalize, watch out.
