I don't see weakness in Trump's wanting to establish the basis for negotiations with Putin. Reagan did the same with Gorby. But when it was time to walk away he was strong enough not to do it.

As I said, all I know about Chamberlain is really his big failure. If you've studied him at all you would know better than I would.

Now, if Trump were to allow Putin to roll over him, I would be pissed. But I don't agree with the pundits that Trump is going to be out-negotiated. He's got more experience on intense negotiations than anyone I can think of.

I don't know if you saw any of the GOP convention, but there was a speaker -- I really don't remember who it was. But he told the story of his first deal with Trump. Basically, they were having a hard time getting it done and Trump said to him, "I'll pay your asking price if you'll just do one thing. Tell me everything I need to know about this building." The guy goes on to explain that he got the asking price then spent the next couple of years fixing every problem with the building on his own nickel.

This is what you want. Someone who doesn't screw up the deal but doesn't give it away like Obama does. I see that a very positive attribute of Trump.

Chamberlain said that Germany just wanted to bring back German speaking people into the German sphere.

Yeah...well, the difference is that Chamberlain may have been wrong about Hitler but wasn't a sick self absorbed egocentric narcisistic ignoramus like this dysfunctional fellow...
