Politics affect all Real Estate.

Real Estate has some of the most benign tax treatment. What other investment do you get to deduct as an expense when in practice it almost always increases in value?

What if this changed, if it was decided that in practice rental real estate actually appreciates over time and therefore does not qualify for depreciation deductions.

Then there is IRS 1031 and 1034 a real boon to estate building currently but they could be modified or eliminated by a new administration.
