Appreciate the info Dick. I have heard that if the stock is cancelled, you can declare it worthless. I think what my broker is doing is the same as what you are saying. They are going to give me one cent for the transfer of the stock to them, and send me a confirmation of the sale for one cent. I pay no comissions because it's a transfer to them and they declare it worthless. Do you see a problem with this? I hate this tax stuff, always confuses me!!
