Yes a softness but the question is how soft? I missed the 1987 event as I sold off all my stock options when I left Intel for LSI Logic in that September. I missed the 2000 dot com bust as I suffered my own personal bust in 1998 thanks to another semiconductor company. That was a long and involved story, documented elsewhere on SI in real time. Throw in a heart attack and a stroke in 2005. Since all that I have been pretty careful along the way as well as shifting a lot of assets into real estate for fun, pleasure, family and financial security. So here we are on the doorstep of another September sort of like hurricane season. Tonight about midnite I depart SFO for SJU to face 99L which should be coming near or through Puerto Rico on Thursday.
