UST IN: WaPo Reveals Trump Already Pocketed $8 Million From Donors Posted on August 23, 2016 Republican nominee Donald J Trump has been running a rather unique presidential campaign, to say the least. Entirely devoid of substance or any kind of coherent strategy, it’s becoming clearer and clearer that his bid for the presidency is just an elaborate scheme for him to funnel donation money to his own pockets. The Washington Post is reporting that Trump has embezzled a staggering $7.7 million from the Republican National Committee and from the small donors he claims to represent. Trump’s campaign has a total of 82 paid staffers, whereas Hillary Clinton has 705. The Trump campaign spent a mere $5 million on TV ads, whereas Clinton has spent a staggering $105 million on ad buys. He has spent comparatively little on his campaign and only cursory efforts at fundraising, which is forcing the RNC to pick up the slack as they watch Trump’s public feuds increasing drag the entire Republican brand through the mud. “The major reason we are fundraising through the RNC is that a huge part of that fundraising will support a ground game, which not only benefits Donald, but benefits other people on the ticket.In essence, our strategy is to do a lot more in conjunction with the RNC” said Steven Mnuchin, Trump’s national campaign finance chairman. But there may be more to that story. Earlier today, it was reported that Trump jacked up the price of rent for his campaign at the Trump Towers as soon as the RNC started picking up the tab: “The FEC filings show that Trump began increasing the rent at Trump Tower starting with the May 31 payment of $72,800. The Trump campaign paid $110,684 in rent on June 9, and $169,758 on July 10.” On the very same day that the RNC and the Trump campaign first signed their fundraising agreement, Trump wasted no time in handing out cash to his own companies: Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach was paid $29,715; Trump National Golf Club in Jupiter, Florida, was paid $35,845; and Trump Restaurants LLC was paid $125,080. Trump is also spending half a million dollars a month flying his private jet around the country to campaign events; each trip costs at least $10,000. It really should come as no surprise to anyone who has been watching the incessant flood of stories which paint Trump as a perpetual thief, scammer, schemer, and miser. The best part of this entire charade is watching Trump single-handedly split the Republican Party apart while the establishment falls over each other in their efforts to help Trump rob them blind. __________________
