Investor A,

Re: "Merced is under the mercy of HP team, not under the
control of Intel!"

This is very inaccurate ... Intel is in full control of the Merced design.
What information leads you, Fuchi, to this conclusion !!??

Make It So,
Yousef

Fuchi Wu - Re: ..."since Merced is under the mercy of HP team, not
under the control of Intel! "

Your complete lack of understanding Intel has never been so apparent.

The Merced is essentially a 100% Intel design. The architecture of the Merced family was a JOINT HP/Intel development.

HP and Intel engineers are working on the follow on products to Merced - which you can generically consider to be Merced II and Merced III.

This effort is high end computer development - involving compiler development, Operating System Development, chip set design (HP is doing their own chip set, independent of Intel), test, verification, system simualtion and emulation, etc.

This is the real deal - Computers for the 21st century.
