JPN HSI Malyasia Thai are down despite a strong close on last friday in NY- Korea is strongly up by another 4% that is good indicator as most of this last fifteen days weakness originated on Koreas worries- I think market and banks in Japan realise the sharp capital gains on massive bond holdings the 'adequacy ratios' threats which always led to collective worries of levels below 15000 creating more selling may finally be discounted during this week as it becomes a common knowledge that although some equity reserve valuations have been lost others made in global instruments are paying off- we need to see a close above 980 to be able to make an assault on 992 on SPA- I think Korea 4% will bring stability to SOX and semis it was blood in Korea which started a big sell off in companies exposed in Korea- won devaluation and its impact on semis- so mix overall looks alright - my trade today will be-

a break of 980 and a close below it will see a test of 968.
a close above 980 will see a Nekkei close above 15000 tomorrow.
SOX will stay above 275 - will attempt 280- I will look at anxiously if we break 268-
bonds are making nearly a historic highs in yields and prices- if 121,16 is taken out decisively we may see a rally taking bonds upto 5,75% yield -upcoming numbers non-farm and others data needs proper viewing it is extremely tricky and because if non farm payrolls and other data is too much of bond friendly you may be hit on equities if it is too strong bonds will sell but 'inflationary' worries will cap the market - so as I look forward I will look every thing on its merit and use individual numbers to make an overall read- the market fundamentals dictate that we may see some positive surprises on DOW stocks. Korea rally is hard to be overlooked it will and should normally help what it destroyed when it sold off.
