Sure, the Civil Rights Act was one of the most important legislative accomplishments in the nation's history.

You know, what he didn't do was to "go it alone," though. That's why Obamacare, even had it been successful, would never have been important in a positive way. That it is a disaster is no surprise.

If Hillary wins, the fact that she did so with the support of some Republicans will probably be a net positive. She is not going to be isolated like Obama has been. I'm not saying I'm for her but that could be a benefit.

Kennedy made the promise, and Nixon was in office when it happened, but LBJ was the one that got us to the moon. At this moment, the two things we'll be remembered for in deep history are the atomic bomb and going to the moon (first).
